About Our Club

MISSION AND HISTORY
Southington GSA was founded by a group of Southington High School students in order to bring awareness of the LGBTQ+ community to our school. The club as a whole is a safe space for any student to go and talk about any personal issues, talk one on one with our advisors, and a place where everyone can be themselves. GSA is also a group that creates projects and events that will bring awareness of LGBTQ+ bullying as well as making our commnuinty a gender and sexuality inclusive environment.
With the guidance of our advisors every year our group participates in the national Day Of Silence, where all LGBTQ+ students stay silent to show the silence they feel while being bullied, as well as attend the True Colors Conference. If you are interested in joing feel free to attend our meetings in W382 every Thursday or look at our calendar in the main Cafe!
